Airtime Terms of Use
Effective date: 3 October 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Airtime is an iOS app for free-flight (paragliding) pilots, operated by Trade Like A Pro SRL, Str. Dimitrie Cantemir 3, Focșani, Romania ("we", "us").
These terms are the agreement between you and us for using the app. By installing or using Airtime, or by creating an account, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Airtime.
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
2. Safety: read this before you fly
Paragliding is dangerous. It can cause serious injury or death.
- Airtime is an aid. It is not an instrument certified for aviation and must not be used as one.
- Airtime never gives a go/no-go verdict. It compares a weather forecast with the wind and gust limits you set yourself and with the wind directions of the site, and shows reasons and a confidence level. That comparison is information, not a recommendation to fly.
- Forecasts are model output and can be wrong. Real conditions at launch, in the air and at the landing field can differ from any forecast, including in ways that are dangerous.
- Site information is community-sourced and may be outdated, incomplete or wrong. This includes launch and landing locations, wind directions, access, hazards, airspace and local rules. Reviews and reports are written by other users.
- The recorder, the variometer and the live link can fail. Causes include an empty battery, loss of GPS signal, loss of network coverage, sensor errors, the operating system stopping the app, and software faults. Do not rely on them for your safety.
- Live sharing is not an emergency or rescue service. Nobody monitors live sessions. A link that stops updating does not trigger any alarm, and a "landed" status does not prove that you are safe. In an emergency, call the local emergency number.
- You alone decide whether to fly. You are responsible for your own assessment of the weather, the site, the airspace, your equipment, your skill and your condition, and for holding the licences and insurance required where you fly.
- Always get a local briefing from a local club, school or pilot before flying a site you do not know.
Do not operate the app in flight in any way that distracts you from flying.
3. Accounts
- An account is optional. Without one, the app works and your data is stored only on your phone.
- With an account (Sign in with Apple, or email where email sign-in is offered), your flights are synced to the cloud.
- Give accurate information, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
- One person per account. You are responsible for what is done under your account.
- You can sign out at any time, and you can delete your account and all cloud data in the app under Profile > Account > Delete account.
4. Plans and prices
| Plan | Price | Term |
|---|---|---|
| Free | No charge | No time limit |
| Pro, yearly | €59 per year | Renews each year until cancelled |
| Pro, monthly | €7.99 per month | Renews each month until cancelled |
| Lifetime | €349, paid once | No renewal |
| Trip Pass | €12.99, paid once | 14 days; does not renew |
Prices are the euro prices at the time of writing. The price that applies to you, including taxes, is the one shown in the App Store for your country at the time of purchase.
Free includes: site map, 7-day outlook with reasons, 3 alert sites, auto-recorder, variometer, loved-ones messages and live link, logbook and import, basic Flight Stories.
Pro adds: hourly windows for all 7 days, alerts for every saved site, Trip mode with offline packs, 3D replay, priority support.
Lifetime gives the Pro features for as long as we offer the app, for a single payment. It is not a promise that the app will be offered forever (see section 13).
Trip Pass gives all Pro features for 14 days from purchase and then ends without renewing.
We may change what each plan includes and what future terms cost. A change does not affect a term you have already paid for. Price changes for a running subscription are announced through Apple and take effect as Apple's rules provide.
5. Free trial, renewal, cancellation and refunds
- Purchases are made through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID by Apple's in-app purchase system. We never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status.
- Free trial. The monthly and the yearly Pro plan start with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, offered once per Apple ID as Apple's rules provide. The app sends a reminder notification 2 days before the trial ends, if you have allowed notifications. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and your Apple ID is charged.
- Renewal. Pro subscriptions renew automatically for the same term unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current term.
- Cancellation. You manage and cancel subscriptions in the subscription settings of your Apple ID; the app links there. Deleting the app or your Airtime account does not cancel a subscription. After cancelling, you keep the Pro features until the end of the term you have paid for.
- Refunds. Apple handles refunds under its own terms. Request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- Restoring purchases. You can restore purchases on a new device with the "Restore purchases" function in the app, using the same Apple ID.
6. Right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU
If you are a consumer living in the EU, you generally have a statutory right to withdraw from a contract for digital content or digital services within 14 days without giving a reason. Purchases in Airtime are made with Apple as the seller, so withdrawal is exercised with Apple, using Apple's process at reportaproblem.apple.com or Apple Support. The right of withdrawal may end early if delivery of digital content begins with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose the right, as Apple's purchase flow describes.
7. Your content
"Your content" means what you put into Airtime: flights, titles, notes, site reports ("I flew" / "went, didn't fly" with a reason) and site reviews (text, star rating).
- Ownership. Your content stays yours.
- Licence to us. You give us a non-exclusive, free, worldwide licence to store, reproduce and display your content as far as needed to run the app. For reviews this includes showing them to other users together with your first name and the number of flights you have recorded at that site. For site reports it includes using them, in aggregated form, to improve the information shown for a site. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
- Flights are private unless you share them yourself, for example through a live link.
- Reviews are public to other users. Reviews are accepted only from accounts that have a recorded flight from that launch.
- Photos are not uploaded. They stay on your phone.
Conduct. When you write reviews or reports:
- describe your own, real experience at the site;
- do not post anything unlawful, insulting, threatening, discriminatory or misleading;
- do not post personal data about other people;
- do not post advertising or spam;
- do not post anything that infringes someone else's rights;
- do not encourage others to ignore local rules, closures, airspace or landowners' wishes.
We may remove content that breaks these rules and, for serious or repeated breaches, suspend or close the account. You can report a review with the "Report this review" link next to it, or by writing to mirceacnu@gmail.com. If we remove your content or restrict your account, we tell you why and you can ask us to look at the decision again.
8. Acceptable use of the app
You may not:
- copy data out of the app in bulk, by scraping or automated requests;
- attempt to get around technical limits, access controls or the plan limits;
- interfere with the service or other users' data;
- submit flights, reports or reviews that you know are false.
9. Open data notice
Airtime shows data from open sources. These sources keep their own licences, and these terms do not restrict any rights you have under them.
- Site data © Paragliding Earth contributors, CC BY-SA 3.0. Site data derived from Paragliding Earth stays under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 licence. You may share and adapt that data under the conditions of that licence, including attribution and share-alike.
- Weather data by Open-Meteo.com (CC BY 4.0).
- Wind data © contributors of the OpenWindMap wind network.
- Webcams provided by windy.com. Webcam pictures and the player are Windy's and are shown under Windy's terms.
Maps are provided by Apple Maps under Apple's terms.
We do not control these sources and do not guarantee that they are available, accurate or up to date.
10. Intellectual property
The app itself, including its software, design, texts, graphics and the name, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. This does not apply to the open data in section 9 or to your content.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right, which we can revoke under section 13, to install and use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store usage rules. You may not copy, modify, decompile or redistribute the app, except where the law gives you that right and it cannot be excluded.
11. Pre-release versions
We may offer pre-release versions of Airtime through Apple's TestFlight.
- Pre-release versions are unfinished. They may be unstable and may contain errors, including in the recorder, the variometer, the live link and the conditions summary.
- Features may change or be removed, and data created in a pre-release version may be lost. Export flights you want to keep as IGC files.
- TestFlight versions expire. Purchases made in a TestFlight version are test purchases handled by Apple and are not charged.
- Feedback you send us may be used to improve the app without any payment or obligation to you.
The safety section (section 2) applies fully to pre-release versions.
12. Liability
- We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence by us, our legal representatives or persons we use to perform our obligations.
- We are liable without limitation for injury to life, body or health caused by our negligent or intentional breach of duty.
- We are liable without limitation where the law requires it, in particular under product liability law, where we have given a guarantee, and where we have fraudulently concealed a defect.
- For slight negligence in other cases, we are liable only if we breach an essential contractual obligation. An essential obligation is one that must be fulfilled for the contract to be carried out properly at all and on which you may regularly rely. In that case our liability is limited to the damage that is typical for this kind of contract and was foreseeable when the contract was made.
- Beyond points 1 to 4, our liability for slight negligence is excluded.
- Where the app is provided free of charge, any lighter statutory liability rules for gratuitous services apply in addition, as far as the law allows.
- These limits also apply to the personal liability of our legal representatives, employees and other persons we use to perform our obligations.
- Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights if a digital product is defective.
Section 2 describes what the app is and is not. In particular, it is not owed under this contract that forecasts are correct, that site information is current, or that the recorder, variometer and live link work without interruption.
13. Term and termination
- These terms apply as long as you use the app.
- You can stop at any time by deleting your account (Profile > Account > Delete account) and removing the app. Cancel any running subscription with Apple separately (section 5).
- We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, in particular sections 7 and 8. Where reasonable, we warn you first.
- We may stop offering the app or parts of it. If we do, we will give reasonable notice in the app where possible, and your statutory rights regarding periods you have already paid for remain unaffected.
- The right of either side to terminate for good cause is not affected.
- Sections that by their nature continue after termination remain in force, including sections 2, 9, 10, 12 and 15.
14. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for good reason, for example when features, prices for future terms, or the law change. We will tell you in the app at least 30 days before a change takes effect. Changes that affect the core of the agreement, or that are to your disadvantage in an unreasonable way, take effect only with your consent. If you do not agree to a change, you can stop using the app and delete your account.
15. Governing law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the law of Romania, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
- If you are a consumer living in another country of the EU or EEA or in Switzerland, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
- For consumers, the statutory places of jurisdiction apply.
- Consumers in Romania can contact the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC, anpc.ro), including its alternative dispute resolution service (anpc.ro/ce-este-sal). Write to us first; most problems are solved faster that way.
16. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also comply with the App Store terms. If these terms conflict with Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement on a point Apple requires, Apple's wording applies to that point.
17. Final provisions
If one provision of these terms is invalid, the rest stays in force, and the invalid provision is replaced by the statutory rule.
These terms are provided in English.
